About Me
The name is Bart and Whisky is the passion. As with my full-time profession, if you do something with passion, it is definitely not work. I would like to inform you a bit about my background, experience and philosophy.
Edinburgh
That is where it started. My first dram was a Lagavulin 16 year old in Scotland´s capitol. Surrounded by numerous bottles it was a great start of a journey that will never end. From smokey to sherry, from bourbon to wine casks. Remember your first sip?
Collecting
A beautiful bottle, extravagant or understated labels and meticulously built gift-boxes make whisky highly collectible. We all start with the core range of a brand. For me it was Glenfiddich. The 12, 15 and 18 year old. But then you see older bottlings. You come across a Rich Oak bottle. Then you go all out on a Winter Storm. Batch 2 of course. And a Batch 1. It never ends. Now my own collection is a mix of Glenfiddich, Glenfarclas, Balvenie, Bowmore and Ardbeg.
